Join Chris Toy for an evening of fresh handmade stuffed pasta. We’ll make regular and spinach dough, two different fillings, one for vegetarians, and another for omnivores (chef’s choice!). We’ll make fresh sauces as well. One featuring tomatoes, the other cream and vodka. Those in the know come hungry and bring leftover containers.

Homemade Candy & Other Delights

Why not! Let’s get together for a three-hour class to go over some of my favorite holiday treats. We will go over how to make homemade chocolate, turtles, peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, chocolate covered pretzels, coconut clusters, salted caramels, candy nuts, caramel corn, and maybe even maple fudge.
We will learn the basic tools and materials, ingredients, recipes, and step-by-step process. Impress everyone this season with some new recipes that I am sure will be their favorites!

Asian Holiday Appetizers

If you have company coming for the holidays, or you need something to take for a potluck, this class is for you! Participants will enjoy a pre-holiday party with Chef Toy as you work together to prepare crispy fried wontons and homemade duck sauce, mini egg rolls, teriyaki party wings, and cold spicy sesame noodles. Cooking with BoomerTech Adventures

In this course, BoomerTech Adventures guides Chris, Jill, and Ed share their love of cooking and enjoyment for lots of different types of foods. You will learn how to prepare several tasty stir fries using traditional Chinese flavorings, make fresh pasta, turn leftover sweet potato into gnocchi, stir up a great fried rice, and give ramen soup a delicious upgrade.
In addition, discover an easy way to make your own pita pockets, flatbreads, and tortillas. Plus, you will see a way to combine the benefits of cooking on cast iron with your love of grilling. We haven’t forgotten dessert! Who can resist a delectable chocolate brownie torte or apple pie?
CLC Adult Education is pleased to partner with BoomerTech Adventures to offer this fully asynchronous online course students can complete on their own time and at their own speed. The course is a PDF booklet with information about the class, instructions for using the class, and the content of the class (videos and articles).
The three instructors provide personalized support for the class via email and / or online chat. And the course is available to students for the full fall semester.
Tech requirements for each course are a strong internet connection (or access to one) and a computer, or tablet, or smartphone to access videos and articles.
