Eats and Drinks Tour

$60
May 13, 2017 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

Please note the $5 charge for the tasting at Sweetgrass Winery & Distillery includes sampling five of their products including their distilled gin and a nice wine glass.

You do not have to go far in midcoast Maine to enjoy some sweet treats, flavorful olive oils and vinegars, or a mouth watering meal. Likewise midcoast Maine boasts some tasty home brewed ales, savory wines and world famous gin. Enjoy them all in this day tour, sampling some of the best the midcoast has to offer.

The tour will begin at Bixby & Co. in Rockland where participants will sample everything from Bixby Bars and Bites to Drinking Chocolate. Then we will temper the sweet with a visit to FIORE Artisan Olive Oils & Vinegars. Pat O’Brien, Director of Marketing for FIORE, will provide the group an overview of extra virgin olive oil from the latest harvest with an interactive tasting experience. In addition, Pat will discuss the traditional production and aging methods associated with traditional balsamic vinegars of Modena followed by a tasting. There is no charge for the tasting and attendees will be given a 10% discount on all purchases made that day.

Lunch will be on your own at Rock Harbor Pub and Brewery offering a tasting of their housemade ales & stouts, plus American comfort grub all in a warm, old-world ambiance. The afternoon will be spent sampling wines at Savage Oakes Vineyard & Winery and Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery in Union. Come enjoy a day of fun food and smooth drink and leave the driving to us.
