Downeaster to Boston's North End
with Chris Toy
Join Chris Toy for a fun day of food, shopping, history, and culture in three of Boston’s North End Neighborhoods. We’ll board the Downeaster in Brunswick and head to Boston’s North End in search of The Freedom Trail, great pizza, and cannoli. Then off to Haymarket, the country’s oldest farmer’s market for amazing prices on fresh produce from around the world. Next door is the Boston Market, Boston’s newest indoor market for locally sourced treats and eats. If we have time we’ll take a short walk to Quincy Market to take in the street performers and the shops before heading back to catch the train back to Maine! There will be a good amount of walking on this trip so wear your comfortable sturdy shoes and clothes for the outdoors.
Train departs Brunswick Station at 7:25 am and returns from Boston’s North End Station 4:45 pm. We will get back to Brunswick around 8 PM. No refunds
