Five years ago, the term “drone” was quite uncommon. However, it’s now believed that over 35% of all digital media is created by airborne cameras (drones!). Let’s delve into the history of UAVs, explore the laws governing their use in the United States, examine how they operate, training requirements, and discuss the safety aspects of using them for business or recreational purposes. Actual UAVs will be available for talking points.
Doug Parcher has been a certified/licensed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (drone) pilot for 7 years. He primarily uses them for making aerial videographies but has certificates for SAR (search and rescue), as well. He owns or has owned many different types of UAVs and currenlty have 4 professional/consumer crafts in his drone hanger.
