Tai Chi/Qigong for Pulmonary Health
with Mary Anne Moisan
This introductory class teaches Tai Chi/Qigong principles and movement gestures with the aim of promoting pulmonary health. The word Qi-Gong means “breath work” or “energy cultivation”, providing a natural means to enhance breathing by lengthening and strengthening the muscles of respiration. Additional benefits include improved mood, decreased stress/anxiety, enhanced tolerance for walking and lower body strengthening, All activities can be completed sitting or standing - this gentle practice is accessible to most everyone.
Mary Anne Moisan is a Physical Therapist and Balance Enhancement Specialist. She currently works for Miles and St. Andrew’s Home Health and Hospice and is excited to include Tai Chi in her professional resume.
