Tai Chi for Neck and Shoulder Care

Stress and poor posture can wreak havoc on our necks and shoulders, sometimes causing pain and dysfunction. In this introductory Tai Chi class, we will learn to enhance our posture and build fluid movement patterns all with the goal of adding ease to our daily lives. Throughout this course, you will learn to integrate the basic principles of Tai Chi – posture, breathing, slow movements and focused intentions – into specific movement patterns or “gestures”. Starting seated in a chair and moving to standing, we will begin to build a repertoire of movement patterns, all with an emphasis on improving posture and decreasing stress in our necks and shoulders.
Mary Anne Moisan is a Physical Therapist and Balance Enhancement Specialist. She currently works for Miles and St. Andrew’s Home Health and Hospice and is excited to include Tai Chi in her professional resume.Code: 6188.8.131.52.12.158624
