Central Lincoln County Adult Education

Note: This is a three-night course. Students must attend all three nights for certification.

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches participants to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as cardiac and respiratory emergencies; head, neck, and back injuries; concussion; shock; choking; stroke; seizures; anaphylactic shock (including use of Epi-Pen®); burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, diabetic emergencies, and heat and cold emergencies. This program teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Specialized US Coast Guard certification is available upon request.

Andrew Eckman recently retired after 44 years in emergency services (police, fire, EMS, and emergency management). He has been a medical instructor for more than 30 years and has trained several thousand participants in various life-saving skills.
