Artisan felted soaps are beautiful and useful gifts or items to treat yourself to a bit of luxury. Join Heather Emerson in learning how to felt your own soaps, either from goat milk soaps from the soap making class or others you bring to class. Even dollar store soaps can be transformed into beautiful artisan gifts.

Each participant should bring 4 bars of soap with them to class. Instructor will provide the wool and all other material needed. Unfelted goat milk soaps will be available for purchase from instructor for $3 each the night of the class. Class cost: $50, one night only make and take.

Heather Emerson is a co-owner of Emerson Homestead in Waldoboro, and has a menagerie of goats and poultry. Emerson Homestead makes and sells handcrafted soaps, lotions, scrubs and soy candles, as well as a number of home decorative items.
