Paper Trails: Exploring Printmaking Session 2: Printmaking Without a Press
with Elizabeth Caton Pardoe
A print is an impression made by an object on the surface of another object. Explore and share the art and craft of creating imagery from a wide range of readily available materials, incorporating line, form, texture and color to produce a single print, series or edition.
There will be class discussion each week in the use of materials, preparing the image, proofing and printing. Basic tools, materials and water-based inks are provided for use in class. Additional suggested materials list will be available at time of registration. All materials can be purchased locally.
Elizabeth Caton Pardoe, accomplished printmaker and painter for over 30 years, holds a BFA degree from The University of Southern Maine. Her works are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada and abroad.
