Outdoor Tai Chi/Qigong for Pulmonary Health

Pre-requisite: Tai Chi/Qigong Basics OR any class by instructor, Mary Anne Moisan.
Breath and lung capacity are central to a healthy lifestyle. In this class, we will review previously learned gestures and basic principles of Tai Chi/Qigong, and strengthen your practice by learning new gestures specifically selected to promote pulmonary health. By the end of the class, we will link these gestures together into a flowing “form.” We will also explore the hidden benefits of breath work including relaxation, pain management and enhanced mental clarity. This gentle movement activity is accessible to individuals of all fitness levels, and is taught and practiced both sitting and standing.
Mary Anne Moisan is a Physical and Occupational Therapist with specific training in Tai Chi and Qigong for rehabilitation. Specific certifications include: Balance Enhancement Specialist, Neck and Shoulder Dysfunction, Tai Chi for Pulmonary Health.
