Nia: Mindful Dance Fitness - Session 1

Nia is an energizing barefoot cardio workout that empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, and soul. Through Nia, you can discover, explore, and enhance your potential to live a healthy and meaningful life by engaging your senses and listening to your body.
Each workout combines martial arts, dance, and mindful movement to leave you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced. Nia is non-impact and adaptable to individual needs and abilities.
Each class starts with setting a focus. We will then step into class, warm up, dance our hearts out, and cool down, ending class with movement on the floor, followed by meditation, and stepping back out into daily life.
Anna Fiedler is a certified Nia blue belt teacher who has taught Nia since 2007. Through Nia, she experiences release and relaxation, combined with increased energy and playfulness. Anna sees teaching Nia as an incredible gift as she helps create space for others to tap into their own power and enhance their Joy of life through movement.
