with Stephanie Blomquist
Only 5 days left to register!
Come join us for a one night class on how to grow large and beautiful garlic plants in your garden with organically approved methods. The time to plant your garlic is in October to get the best results. In this class we will cover topics such as: where to purchase your seed garlic from; the role of proper PH in the soil; how to test PH and how to change this to optimal levels; what products to incorporate into the soil before planting; when and how to plant your garlic; when to fertilize and with what; common garlic diseases to look out for; how to harvest and use garlic at various stages of growth; and how to cure and store it for the following year. You will take home handouts for future reference; however it might be a good idea to bring a notebook and pen to record information. Depending on availability, you may be able to purchase some garlic seed stock from the instructor at the class.
