DOUGH it Up Right!

with Debra Arter

Who can resist the smell of fresh bread baking? In this one night class we will learn how to mix, knead, proof and shape basic sweet roll dough, which will be formed in various ways. Participants will learn how to create cloverleaf rolls, butter crescents, cinnamon swirls, tea rings and whole-wheatrolls, caramel pecan rolls and a savory braid. The instructor will demonstrate how to form loaves of bread. Students will see what gluten really looks like! Various yeast bread recipes will be shared and discussed.

Each student will go home with a basket of yummy warm samples. All baking levels are welcome for this hands-on class. Bring an apron, rolling pin, cutting board and tubs or plastic bags to take stuff home.

Debra Arter has been cooking international dishes for her family and others for many years.
