Chinatown & the Museum of Fine Art
Join cooking instructor Chris Toy for a day of art, food, and shopping in and around Boston’s Chinatown! Start the day at the Museum of Fine Arts, where Chris will take you on a private tour and talk about some of the artifacts in the Asian Collection. There will be time afterwards to explore the museum on your own. Make sure to check out the Follow the North Star Inuit Art from the Collection of Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh and/or The Summer of Love Photography and Graphic Design exhibit. Afterwards stroll around Chinatown where you can choose from dozens of authentic restaurants. Or make it simple and follow Chris to China Pearl for some authentic family style Chinese Dim Sum. Chris and his family have dined there for over 50 years! We will finish the day in Quincy with a visit to Kam Man Marketplace, the largest indoor Asian market in New England with over 40 food and specialty shops. Participants are sure to find something good to eat for dinner here. Afterwards we will head home. So come and bring your cameras, appetites, and shopping lists!
Cost does not include meals but does include transportation in the comfort of a chartered coach bus equipped with WIFI technology and a lavatory, trip guide Chris Toy, and admission to the Museum of Fine Arts with private tour and talk.
