Bushcraft: Surviving in the Wild
with Bob Augustine
Only 4 days left to register!
This is an introductory class to the art of bushcraft, which is how to survive in the wilderness with minimal gear. We will cover the Survival Rules of Three’s, which talks about shelter, water, and food. We will make shelter from a poncho and from natural materials, work on fire starting, as well as finding and purifying water and finding food. We will also discuss and build a minimalist survival kit. Although the first class will be held inside, the rest of the classes will be outdoors, so be prepared for that. We will not be walking long distances in this class.
Bob Augustine has been practicing wilderness survival in the Maine wilderness since he was twelve years old. With a combination of military training and a Native American background, he has a laid back approach to surviving in the wilderness and strongly believes in a hands on approach to learning survival skills.
