NOTE: This is a three night course. Students must attend all three nights for certification.
This program ensures that individuals with a duty to respond (public safety professionals, healthcare providers, and others with a duty to respond) have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. Clear, concise, and current information on what signs to look for and what treatment steps to take during an emergency, including how to perform CPR and use an AED. Updated coverage of bloodborne and airborne diseases, including precautions to take in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. A focus on soft skills, with additional coverage relating to team-based resuscitation.
Andrew Eckman recently retired after 45 years in emergency services (police, fire, EMS, and emergency management). He has been a medical instructor for more than 30 years and has trained several thousand participants in various life-saving skills.
