Adult Learning Center-Adult Basic Education Free help is available for any area adult resident who needs to work on basic math, reading and writing or English language skills. Individualized instruction for all levels and help preparing for the Accuplacer College Placement exam is offered. Call 563-2811 for more information.

Adult Learning Center - HiSet® Test Prep The Tests of the High School Equivalency Test (HiSet® Tests) are designed to measure the skills and knowledge equivalent to a high school course of study. The five subject area tests which comprise the HiSet® test battery are Mathematics; Language Arts Reading; Language Arts Writing (including essay); Science; and Social Studies. The HiSet® preparation class is open to individuals 17 years or older who are not attending high school.

Individualized instruction is provided as preparation for the 5-part High School Equivalency test that leads to a high school equivalency certificate. Testing accommodations are available for individuals with documented learning disabilities.
