David Baker has been a cheesemaker for 26 years and has taught cheesemaking to adults as well as children. He loves to help people learn about cheese.

Celebrate spring in Maine! In this 3 hours class we will refresh our palette by making Lemon Portuguese Tartlets, Lemon Poppy seed Scones and Easy Lemon Bars! No experience required. Debra has been teaching adult baking classes for nearly a decade. You are sure to have fun and not leave with a sour face. Bring tubs to take home baked goods you can resist eating!

Complete Wok Cooking

Woks are great for stir-frying! Join Chris and learn the other things woks do well including roasting, deep frying, steaming, and more. Chris will also explain how to choose, season, and care for woks. His award winning book, The Complete Wok Cookbook will be available for purchase and signing as well!

Chris Toy is a Stonewall Kitchen Cooking Instructor and award winning cookbook author with a lifelong interest in cooking with an Asian-Downeast fusion flavor.

Cooking with BoomerTech Adventures

In this course, BoomerTECH Adventures guides Chris, Jill, and Ed share their love of cooking and enjoyment for lots of different types of foods. You will learn how to prepare several tasty stir fries using traditional Chinese flavorings, make fresh pasta, turn leftover sweet potato into gnocchi, stir up a great fried rice, and give ramen soup a delicious upgrade.

In addition, you'll discover an easy way to make your own pita pockets, flatbreads, and tortillas. Plus, you will see a way to combine the benefits of cooking on cast iron with your love of grilling. We haven’t forgotten dessert! Who can resist a delectable chocolate brownie torte or apple pie?

BoomerTECH Adventures was begun in 2014 by three friends and colleagues, all Maine educators who have worked with adults and technology for more than 100 years (collectively)! We provide expert guidance and personalized resources for the 55+ age group to develop competence and confidence using Apple devices. Our team: Ed Brazee - tennis player, runner, “refocused” professor & author/editor; Jill Spencer - traveler, enthusiastic gardener and photographer, middle school teacher, international consultant, and author; Chris Toy - chef, YouTube cooking sensation, long-distance biker, school principal, international consultant, and author.
